St. Johnsville NY

Yesterday we went through 5 locks after leaving Amsterdam at 7 am and were the first boat to tie up on the wall at St. Johnsville, NY.  There is somewhat of a race to get a space on these walls, as there is usually only room for 5 or 6 boats.  Turns out I do have a tiny bit of competitive nature and was pleased that we were the first boat.  Winning!

The weather was perfect and as the other boats began to arrive we connected with some previous boat neighbors and met several new couples.  There was a nice park area and we were able to stake Madison out and bring our chairs out to sit with her on the wall, so she had a very good dog day! I finally got to relax and read for hours and we felt rested.

I figured out to change the tracking to satellite so it actually shows the rivers, trees and details. Love tracking your journey. Just checked snd it appears you pulled up in Utica. Find a good place to stop for lunch?
